This week you’ll have a chance to jump into Redfall and visit the fictional Massachusetts’ town to slay vampires. Since those damn vampires are so thirsty, I figured that I should continue this trend of crafting a delicious cocktail to sip while you uncover the mysteries of my real home state and the not so real Redfall, MA.
Redfall is an FPS you can enjoy playing solo or in a squad with up to three other friends to tackle the vampires that have taken over the isolated island town. Regardless of how you choose to play though, you’re going to need something to replenish your spirit as the sun fades and the bloodsuckers rage. In this edition of gaming cocktails, we’re going to make a spicy tequila based drink perfect for the first person action of Redfall.
To make the Redfall-Rita you’re going to need:
- 1 fresh lime, squeezed
- 1/2 fresh jalapeño, muddled
- 1.5oz Tequila (I prefer reposado in my cocktails)
- .5oz Triple Sec
- .5oz Pomegranate Liqueur (can substitute Pomegranate juice)
- 1oz Grapefruit Juice
Combine the lime juice and jalapeño into your shaker tin, muddle until the jalapeño has been sufficiently ground, add the rest of your ingredients to the shaker tin with ice and shake. Before your add ice to your glass, take a lime wedge and rub it around the rim of your glass, mix salt and cayenne pepper onto a safe surface for you to then rim your glass. Strain the cocktail into your freshly rimmed glass and enjoy this spicy yet balanced cocktail. You can make this drink without spice by omitting the jalapeño and cayenne. Please remember to always indulge responsibly.
For an alcohol free version of this drink, follow these steps:
- 1 fresh lime, squeezed
- 1/2 fresh jalapeño, muddled
- .5oz Orange Juice
- 1oz Pomegranate juice
- 3oz Grapefruit Juice
