Not to any of our surprise here at Pass The Controller– StudioMDHR announced today that Cuphead has gone platinum and surpassed one million downloads! The indie developers were quick to thank their fans not only for the success they are seeing, but also for their patience in the years leading up to this run and gun game.
It’s hard not to ponder what’s next for Cuphead and StudioMDHR seeing that they have successful new IP. Could we eventually get some DLC or even a sequel? Only time will tell, but in the interim– it’s back to pushing for P’s in each run and gun level and a few of the other more illusive achievements tucked within this masterpiece.
