Rockstar is making their Nintendo Switch debut by bringing their crimefighting, detective game to the hybrid console. This isn’t the first time Rockstar’s games have found homes on Nintendo consoles, but the return comes in the wake of more and more developers bringing their experiences to the seven month old machine.
The Nintendo Switch version will come with the original game and all of the additional downloadable content, as well as console exclusive controls and features. Joy-Con mode will allow for gyroscopic, gesture-based controls coupled with HD Rumble to help solve crimes. There will also be touch-based controls implemented for when you’re gaming on the go.
That’s not all, Rockstar is also bringing a remastered version to both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The re-release is more than just an HD upgrade, coming packed with all of the downloadable content as well as some technical enhancements. In a game that has a focus on reading people’s reactions, a shift towards a higher visual fidelity may lend more authenticity to the character interactions. As if that wasn’t enough, L.A. Noire will also run in stunning 4K on both the PS4 Pro and the Xbox One X.
A new experience also awaits for HTC Vive owners with the game leaping into virtual reality with L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files. This special VR version will focus on seven of the original cases from L.A. Noire completely rebuilt for an immersive VR crime-solving adventure.
Fans can look for L.A. Noire to return on November 14th for the Switch, Xbox One, PS4, and HTC Vive.
