Friday at PAX East, during the “Celebrating 40 Years of SNK History” panel there were a few announcements saved for the end. After romancing fans with a dive into legendary franchises such as King of Fighters and Metal Slug– and announcing the SNK 40th Anniversary Collection for the Nintendo Switch– they had one last surprise for fans who stuck around until the final moments of the panel.
Prior to the panel, SNK Heroines Tag Team Frenzy– a fighting game coming to the Nintendo Switch and PS4– was without a release date and had a rather limited roster of revealed characters. But the folks at SNK decided to drop not only a release date, but a reveal trailer for Shermie from the King of Fighters series– there was one guy in attendance who was very excited about the reveal.
With the current wesbite for the game having greyed out characters surrounding the logo– it’s safe to assume we will be receiving a slow trickle of fighter reveals from now until the release date. Look for SNK Heroines Tag Team Frenzy to drop this fall on September 7th.
